Proper Representation for Citizens Abroad

The Liberal Democrats believe British citizens abroad should be represented by their own dedicated MPs elected in overseas constituencies. Other countries do this already, such as France, Italy, Lithuania, Portugal, Romania and many others.
These MPs would be especially alert to the needs of the nearly 5 million Brits living overseas, as well as accurately representing their views on domestic issues inside the UK.

Lib Dem MPs in Parliament are also leading the calls at Westminster to fix the broken electoral system for Britons voting from abroad.
